Our Story

Hi! Ellen here - creator of Surgical Chef™ Tongs and kitchen tool aficionado! Cooking has always been my passion and I love having the perfect tool for every situation.

My husband Dave is a surgeon, and I sometimes ask him to bring home surgical tools that I can try out in the kitchen. One night, about 20 years ago, I asked him to bring home a tool for deboning fish, and he brought home the first ever Surgical Chef™ Tongs!

I started Surgical Chef™ because I believe every chef, professional or amateur, should have a pair of these tongs. I can't wait for you to try them and realize why they are the best kitchen tongs ever!
